Today’s photo highlights members of our drafting department, just years after FEECO’s founding.

In the early 1950s, drafters positioned themselves at drawing boards and used pen or pencil to create equipment drawings by hand. As technology advanced through the years, drawing boards were eventually replaced with modern computer-aided design (CAD) systems, allowing drafters to prepare drawings at a much faster rate.

Today, FEECO’s drafting team continues to develop drawings of the equipment used in our manufacturing operations. They work closely with lead designers to enhance and develop layouts, and with manufacturing personnel to use designs that are achievable.

While technology has changed since today’s featured photo, one thing remains the same: our drafter’s skill and dedication is essential to bringing our equipment to life. FEECO’s drafters continue to develop the necessary drawing details which clearly communicate the design intent to our manufacturing team.
