This week’s photo comes from FEECO’s batch lab in Australia. The photo shows a process engineer testing out a binder on a pan pelletizer.

Binder choice is a critical component in the process of testing agglomeration feasibility, and can take some fine-tuning to get just right.

Sometimes a mixture of binders may be needed to get the right product characteristics, as in this case, where the engineer has created a unique formula for use as a binding agent on the material.
