This week’s photo shows a batch pin mixer from the FEECO Lab.

Pin mixers are a type of industrial mixer that can be used for a wide variety of materials, either as a stand-alone agglomerator, or as part of a larger agglomeration process. They are often employed prior to pan pelletizers in order to pre-condition material, such as in dedusting, premixing feeds and binders, predensifying, and preagglomerating.

The batch pin mixer is a tool frequently used in agglomeration feasibility tests and small-scale process runs in the FEECO Lab.
