Our Photo of the Week shows two disc pelletizers being fabricated at the FEECO fabrication center, around the mid-1960’s.

Disc pelletizers, also commonly called pan pelletizers or pan granulators, are used to convert materials from a fine dust, into a granular pellet. Used in many processes, pelletizers are very common throughout the fertilizer industry, pelletizing materials such as gypsum, urea, potash, and ammonium sulfate.

As can be seen by the surroundings, these pelletizers are massive in size. From 16″ all the way to 25′ diamaeters, FEECO engineers and fabricates a wide range of sizes to fit a variety of applications.
