FEECO is nothing short of familiar with iron ore. Our team of Process Experts regularly work with the material in our Innovation Center, developing the most ideal agglomeration method to turn the ore fines into a pelletized product.

Agglomerating iron ore offers a host of benefits. It eliminates dust issues associated with iron ore fines, ultimately creating a more easily handled and transported product. Agglomeration of the material also creates a high-performing end product, as heat transfer is much more efficient in a solid than a powder form (iron ore pellets at approximately 4-10 mesh are an ideal solution for usage in a blast furnace).

While the benefits of iron ore agglomeration are universal, not all agglomeration processing set-ups are tantamount. The nuances of the samples vary from customer to customer, so too does binder and end-product requirements. FEECO’s Process Experts, however, understand the variables previously noted, and are skilled in developing the best agglomeration operation for your unique iron ore sample.
