This week’s photo takes us back to 1966 where 3 disc pelletizers are being finalized in FEECO’s Fabrication Facility.

Disc pelletizers, also known as pan granulators, offer a unique advantage in the world of tumble growth agglomeration, and have found their way into many industries over the years. The points below outline two of the major benefits disc pelletizers have to offer, illustrating how they continue to stand out over other pieces of agglomeration equipment:

  • Uniform pellets- often chosen for its ability to fine-tune product size, the disc pelletizer is the equipment of choice when uniform pellet size is a required end-product characteristic.
  • Recycle- disc pelletizers produce less recycle, than a rotary drum for example. Less recycle is ideal when the material must be dried, because less energy would be required to dry a smaller amount of product.

FEECO has been a leader in agglomeration equipment and solutions since 1951. For more information on disc pelletizers, or other pieces of equipment in our agglomeration line, contact us today!
