FEECO was founded in 1951 as the Fertilizer Engineering and Equipment Company. From the early days, to present day, we’ve provided the best in equipment and process solutions to the fertilizer industry, and a slew of others. We’ve become known as the material experts, able to help companies improve product characteristics, solve material problems, and transform waste materials into value-added products.
While we’ve worked with hundreds of materials throughout our storied history, gypsum is by far one of the most familiar. For over 60 years, we’ve tested samples in our state-of-the-art facility, and have also designed custom equipment and process solutions for both natural and synthetic gypsum samples. FEECO’s engineers and lab technicians have a truly comprehensive knowledge in processing gypsum, be it natural or synthetic, from start to finish.
A few past projects include:
- A gypsum conveying system which consists of tripper conveyors for “under roof” storage and reclaim conveyors to rail load out.
- The design and fabrication of a complete gypsum pelletizing system, including pin mixers, disc pelletizers, dryers, material handling equipment, controls, and chain mills.
- Gypsum lab testing, to determine the unique sample’s composition and processing requirements needed to produce the desired end-product.
To further share our expertise in natural and synthetic gypsum processing, FEECO will exhibit at this year’s Global SynGyp Conference and Exhibition in Chicago, Illinois (USA)- the first biennial event which unites syngyp producers, users, traders and the like.
The event focuses on the balance between cost-effective flue gas desulphurization and the production of synthetic gypsum products. Guests will have the opportunity to attend the exhibition and presentations, as well as engage in networking and business opportunities.
Chris Kozicki, Process Sales Engineer, will represent FEECO, answering questions and sharing FEECO’s involvement within the natural and synthetic gypsum industries.
