This week’s photo, from the late 1950’s, shows a FEECO rotary drum ready for shipment. In the 1950’s, FEECO was shipping rotary drums such as granulators, agglomerators, rotary dryers, and rotary coolers, around the United States, for use in fertilizer granulation plants.

Today, FEECO still ships these massive rotary drums around the United States, but we’ve expanded to shipping them around the world, and for a wide variety of applications. Although a lot has changed since the 1950’s, one thing remains the same: shipping a rotary drum of this size is no easy task. It takes a lot of logistics to get an enormous piece of equipment from one place to another, whether it’s by trailer, railcar, or boat.

FEECO has been custom building rotary drums since 1951. Head over to our Flickr page to see recent photos of rotary drum shipments!
