Our photo this week shows a sample of briquettes.

Briquettes are dusts, powders or material fines that have been compacted into a dense mass via a briquetter, or briquetting machine. The equipment operates under the supposition that a material, under abundant force, will self-adhere.

Briquetting is frequently selected because no binder use is required for agglomeration; it is a dry particle size enlargement process. In addition, briquetting also reduces dust created during handling, controls a material’s strength, and eliminates powder-caking during storage.

FEECO is a leading supplier of custom agglomeration equipment. For more information, contact us today.
