Feeco International and its sister company, Encap are proud to be home to two of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation event contributors.
Green Bay, WI (March 14, 2011) – Saturday, March 12, hosted a lot of cold heads as people all over the Green Bay area came together to shave their heads for a great cause. The annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event was held in the parking lot of St. Brendan’s Inn and had a turnout of about 200 people.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation was started 11 years ago, and has quickly become “ the world’s fastest growing volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefiting childhood cancer research,” according to their website. Saturday was no exception; according to the Green Bay Press Gazette, together, the community helped raise $115, 300 to help fund childhood cancer research, an amount that was well over last year’s local feat of $94,000.
Among the patrons, was Feeco International’s Enginneering/Contract Manager, Kerry Dunn. Dunn well exceeded his fundraising goal of $1,000 in honor of several people he knows that have been affected by cancer. Also among the shaved, was Shannon Homme, the Accounts Administrator of Feeco’s sister company, Encap. Homme raised over $3,000 in the name of childhood cancer research.
