This week’s Photo of the Week shows a FEECO rotary cooler being loaded for shipment.

This rotary cooler, to be used for cooling minerals, is equipped with flights, which are visible on the interior drum. These flights are used to maximize heat transfer by lifting material from the material bed, carrying it over, and showering it through the stream of cool air.

Rotary coolers are used in a variety of industrial processes, in order to cool material prior to packaging, handling, or storage. Some of the most common applications that implement rotary coolers include: aggregates, municipal & industrial wastes, minerals and ores, as well as fertilizers.

FEECO has been custom engineering rotary coolers for over 60 years. For more information on our rotary coolers, contact us today!
