This week’s highlighted resource is a project profile for a sand dryer used in the frac sand industry.

The frac sand industry is again booming as drillers pump more of the silica sand down wells than ever before. Drying is an integral step in preparing mined sand for use as a proppant in the hydraulic fracturing process. As a preferred provider of heavy-duty rotary dryers in the mining industry, FEECO has provided a number of frac sand dryers over the years. This project profile highlights one dryer provided for Badger Mining Corporation in Wisconsin.
