Photo of the Week: Combustion Chamber under Production

This week’s photo shows a combustion chamber under production in FEECO’s Fabrication Facility.

Castable refractory is pictured in the center. Fiber modules surround the castable on either side; they are lighter and have a lower thermal conductivity.

The fiber modules are not used on the bottom center because they are more susceptible to damage. Thus, because the castable is more durable than the fiber, it can also serve as a walkway for technicians during inspections/repairs.

FEECO offers various combustion chamber options, with customizations ranging from single or double shell, refractory lined, and angled. A quality combustion chamber is crucial to the quality of the product, and the energy used to get to the end-product.
