This week’s photo shows a pilot kiln in the FEECO Lab Facility.

The FEECO pilot kiln is used in a variety of applications as part of process development. The kiln simulates a continuous process and allows for various customizations. The kiln can be run in both parallel and counter-current flow, and can be operated at temperatures up to 3000º F.

At 3′ x 20′, the pilot kiln is a critical piece of equipment in thermal process development, allowing companies to test their thermal process on a continuous basis for applications such as mineral processing, material sintering, thermal recovery, and many others.

The pilot kiln is complementary to a batch kiln in the FEECO facility, which aids in determining raw process data.

FEECO offers a variety of options for testing thermal processing data. For more information on the FEECO lab, contact us today!
