This week’s photo shows a pile of circuit board components, commonly referred to as e-waste. E-waste is one of the many materials that has traditionally been considered a waste, but is now being recognized as an opportunity for reclaiming valuable materials such as precious metals. This is true of many materials, as finite resources begin to run out, and recycling processes become more advanced.

FEECO has been a part of this movement to reclaim and reuse materials previously thought to be “waste.” We consistently work with others to transform their waste material or process by-product into a usable, marketable form. Through the development of unique, advanced processes, and customized equipment, our engineers have helped companies around the globe divert millions of tons of material from landfills.

Our waste transformation technologies are suited for a number of industries, including power, agriculture, and mining, to name a few. And we’ve transformed hundreds of materials within the noted industries above, including:

    • DDG to animal feed
    • Clay to cat litter
    • Chicken manure to fertilizer pellets
    • Limestone to calcium fertilizer pellets
