This week’s photo highlights several rotary dryers under production at FEECO. The photo was taken in FEECO’s fabrication facility, just shortly after our founding in 1951.

For decades, many industries have been faced with the same problem: product moisture. Depending on material composition, moisture can cause caking or spoilage with subsequent increased costs in production, storage, and handling. Product quality and acceptance are all important too. While many different drying requirements have resulted in the development of serveral types of dryers, the rotary dryer is eminently suited for handling large quantities of granular or bulky materials. No other dryer can approach the rotary type on the basis of initial investment or ability to dry at high production rates.

FEECO dryers are direct-fired using air and the products of combustion flow to surround the material. In most cases, direct firing is accomplished after controlled combustion in a separate chamber. Parallel flow dryers and counter flow dryers can also be furnished with various methods of firing, types of burners, controls and auxiliaries.

FEECO’s rotary dryers have been developed through our decades of experience in the field of industrial drying. We invite you to let us analyze your drying requirements. Contact us today.
