This week’s photo highlights the FEECO Fabrication Facility, where several belt-style bucket elevators are being assembled.

In this photo, you’ll notice the center of the boot section contains a spiral, wing-type pulley. Wing-type pulleys prevent material from being pinched between the back side of the belt and the pulley, ideal for abrasive or lumpy materials.

FEECO’s bucket elevators are customized to work with your specific material handling operation at hand, and are available in a number of centrifugal and continuous style options. Continuous elevators are primarily used with more fragile materials that are light and/or prone to aeration, whereas centrifugal elevators are ideal for handling abrasive materials.
