This week’s photo highlights a belt conveyor.

This particular belt conveyor is called a “slider bed” conveyor. The belt slides on a UHMW trough instead of idlers, which helps contain and minimize spillage. A slider bed does not allow for any belt sag between idlers in the skirtboard sections, nor does it allow material to fall below the belt.

FEECO’s belt conveyors are one of the most popular pieces of equipment from our bulk material handling line. They are available in the following:

  • 18” to 72” wide.
  • Capacities up to 8,000 TPH.
  • Different belting options, each designed for different material characteristics.
  • Run at inclined angles between zero and twenty degrees (or 30 degrees with cleated/chevron belting).
  • Additional components, including gates, weather covers, transfer chutes, walkways, belt scrapers, inspection doors.
