This week’s photo highlights the newest edition to the Innovation Center- a chain mill. It was designed and manufactured by FEECO, and is fully implemented into our testing facility.
The new chain mill weighs in at 1134 pounds and operates with a 5 horsepower motor. It features a removable screen, with several screen options available to accommodate various mesh.
Chain mills are a valuable piece of equipment to the Innovation Center. They function to break up oversize and undersize material, to then recycle that material back into the beginning of the process set-up. This minimizes product loss, allowing us to fully utilize our material samples.
