Burners for rotary dryers and kilns provide the heat source needed to process material; without them, thermal processing operations are left at a standstill.

What burners are available?

FEECO can provide burners based on a range of specifications, including for various fuel sources, flame shaping capabilities, and more.

How often do burners require replacement?

A properly maintained burner can last for decades. However, as technology advances, it may be desirable to replace the burner in favor of one that is more energy efficient, that adheres to changing emissions regulations, or is being adapted to process another material.

What is the lead time for burners?

Lead time for a burner can range from 4 to 8 weeks.

Is there anything else I need to keep in mind when ordering a burner?

Burner replacement is a good time to consider replacing the combustion chamber if necessary. If the system does not use a combustion chamber, it may be a good time to evaluate whether or not the addition of a combustion chamber could benefit the process. During this review process, it may also be a good time to review whether the system meets NFPA regulations and the burner control system meets process control strategy needs.

How can I order a burner?

Contact a FEECO Customer Service Engineer for a burner quote by filling out our contact form

If the burner is a direct replacement, please provide the following info:

  • BTU rating
  • Burner make and model

If the burner is not a replacement, a number of process data points will be necessary, including capacity, specific heat of material, moisture content of material, fuel, and more. A FEECO Customer Service Engineer will reach out to you upon your inquiry and ask you to fill out a data sheet to gather this info.
