This week’s photo highlights FEECO’s industrial mixer options: the pin mixer, and pugmill mixer, also known as a paddle mixer.
Pin mixers are ideal for processing fine materials in the presence of a liquid binder. They consist of a central rotar shaft affixed with pins, inside of a stationary housing. The shaft rotates at a constant speed, creating a spinning action within the mixer. This intense spinning mixes and densifies the particles into rough agglomerates.
FEECO also offers the pugmill mixer for your industrial mixing needs. The pugmill mixer is ideal for more demanding materials, such as sludges, offering a high torque motion. Pug mills are comprised of two counter-rotating shafts affixed with pitched paddles which work to create a kneading and folding over motion within.
