Fertilizer Latino Americano, Latin America’s premiere networking event for the fertilizer industry and its suppliers was held this week, and FEECO International was in attendance.

The 2013 Fertilizer Latino Americano was held in Latin America’s most important fertilizer and agricultural market: Brazil. This year’s event discussed topics all the way from sustainability in agriculture, to economic outlooks for the upcoming year and beyond.

As a pioneer in the engineering and manufacture of granular fertilizer systems and equipment, FEECO was proud to again exhibit at this year’s event.

FEECO was founded over 60 years ago to supply the fertilizer industry with process and equipment solutions. Though FEECO has since grown to serve many other industries, including mining and energy, FEECO’s capabilities in the fertilizer industry have also expanded to provide impressive opportunities for waste transformation.

“The ability to take a waste material, and turn it into a fertilizer is exceptionally valuable as sustainability becomes more and more important. It allows us to help keep waste materials out of landfills, while utilizing the resources we have to their fullest potential – all in the name of putting food on the table in a sustainable way. We see Latin America as a growth economy with great potential for our equipment and systems,” says FEECO Process Sales Engineer, Shane Le Capitaine.

Since its founding in 1951, FEECO has helped over 700 companies around the world to turn waste materials into granular fertilizers.
