FEECO has joined the ranks of other top fertilizer industry representatives and been accepted as a member in the International Fertilizer Association, the world’s preeminent voice for the industry.

Membership to the IFA acknowledges the essential contribution FEECO has made to the industry through fertilizer process development services and granulation equipment and systems.

Members of the IFA work collaboratively to address key issues the industry faces, such as reducing its carbon footprint and ensuring global food security. The organization’s mission is to promote the efficient and responsible production, distribution, and use of plant nutrients. Their vision is productive and sustainable agriculture systems that contribute to a world free of hunger and malnutrition.

“The efforts of the IFA align with much of the work we’re already doing with our customers, so membership was a natural fit for us,” commented Shane Le Capitaine, FEECO Process Sales Engineer and fertilizer granulation expert.

FEECO has played an active role in the fertilizer industry since our founding in 1951, starting with our integral role in converting fertilizer plants to the TVA granulation method and evolving into our extensive fertilizer production equipment and services. Today, we regularly help our customers to:

  • Develop controlled-release and enhanced efficiency fertilizers
  • Recover nutrients from organic wastes
  • Ensure efficient production of premium fertilizer products
  • Maximize available finite resources such as phosphate rock
  • Engineer coating drums for producing specialty fertilizers from traditional products
  • Bring affordable and accessible nutrient sources to developing regions
  • Promote best practices in fertilizer use, such as 4R Nutrient Stewardship
  • Develop new and alternative sources of nutrients
  • Optimize existing processes for improved efficiency and quality

FEECO is proud to be accepted to the IFA. In the face of a growing global population and declining arable land, our continued commitment to assisting our customers in producing efficient and sustainable fertilizer products has never been stronger.
