Rotary drum breechings house the inlet and outlet ends of the rotary drum and provide a place for feed and discharge to occur.

What breechings are available?

FEECO offers both inlet and outlet breechings for rotary drums of all types and in various materials of construction depending on the specific demands of the project.

How often do breechings require replacement?

Breechings only require replacement when they become worn, and this depends solely on the unique production setting; some breechings may last the life of the drum. Some wear is repairable, while more aggressive wear such as holes, thin spots, or other damage will typically require replacement.

What is the lead time for breechings?

While circumstances may vary, breechings typically have a lead time between 8 and 14 weeks.

Is there anything else I need to keep in mind when ordering a breeching?

If seal damage is present, this is also a good time to consider replacing the seal. The cause of failure should also be identified, as this could be addressed through the replacement. For example, if corrosion was the issue, it might be worth upgrading to a stainless steel breeching to reduce the potential for future corrosion.
