EAF Dust Processing Equipment

As more steel producers switch to electric arc furnaces, recovering the value left over in EAF dust via the roasting process will become increasingly important and offers a profitable alternative to disposal. Pelletizing EAF dust allows the material to be effectively roasted for metal recovery with improved heat transfer efficiency while mitigating the risk of entrainment.

MATERIAL PROCESSING

Pelletizing & Conditioning

Our continuous pin mixers and pugmill mixers provide effective conditioning for pelletizing pre-treatment, though they are not recommended when CaO content is high, or excessively large pieces of refractory are present.

Our disc pelletizers are the industry standard for producing a uniform, spherical granular product for achieving maximum process efficiency in the kiln.

Industrial Cooling

FEECO can provide custom rotary coolers in either the direct or indirect configuration for cooling EAF dust.

BULK MATERIAL HANDLING

FEECO also provides a comprehensive line of bulk material handling equipment for all of your EAF dust handling needs. We offer custom bucket elevators, belt conveyors, reversing shuttle conveyors, and steep incline conveyors, along with pieces to increase the flexibility of your handling system, such as belt trippers and plows, and belt feeders.

Process Testing and Design
