Coating drums are used throughout a number of industries to carry out particle coating applications.

Commonly used after agglomerate processing, coating drums work by tumbling particles in a rotating drum and spraying them with the desired coating material. This may be to improve product handling, performance, or even appearance.

While coating drums can be used to apply nearly any type of coating, they are perhaps most frequently used to apply anti-caking and anti-dusting agents. They can also be used for applying water to granules to improve durability, and even in applications where wet and dry ingredients are layered on particles to create a highly customized product. Coating drums are extremely flexible and have become a staple in many industrial processes to produce a premium granule product.

FEECO offers custom coating drums, engineered to suit your unique application. They can be provided as a stand-alone unit, or as part of a larger agglomeration process.
