This week’s photo highlights one of FEECO’s many replacement/spare parts: the thrust roller.

Thrust rollers are a standard component to any rotary drum, from rotary dryers and coolers, to granulators and kilns. They ride on the downhill and uphill edge of the tire, and are mounted about ¼” of tolerance from the tire.

Thrust rollers serve as a backup means to keeping the drum tires on the wheels. The drum should be aligned to float between the thrust rollers without riding hard on one or the other.

FEECO can quote thrust rollers in a variety of sizes specific to the needs of your equipment at hand. To get a quote, please provide your FEECO part number. If your thrust roller was not previously from FEECO, not a problem. Please provide the size of the roller, shaft size, and bearing type, and contact us at FEECO.com.
