FEECO celebrated last week with a company-wide party September 19th, 2013, honoring those who have been with the company for decades. Dan Madigan, FEECO President, gave an inspiring speech to commemorate the occasion:

“You might be surprised to know I’m a little nervous up here. And you might wonder why I would be nervous. The truth is, it’s not the public speaking that makes me nervous; it’s that I’m standing here in front of a group of wonderful people.

These people {retirees} have dedicated a lot of time and feel close enough to this company to be here today to share our years of service dinner, and I would really like to thank them. From my point of view, anytime they come into this building, they are always welcome. There’s always a smile on their face, which is really special to me, because I definitely have a smile back for them. I just want to thank them all for being here.”

Madigan proudly recognized and handed out awards to those who have reached 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service. Then he invited his father (and FEECO founder) up, to congratulate him on his 62 years of service.

“Other than the retired people; what I have left are people that I care about a lot. I’ve always said that the newest people here are expected to walk in and do their job from day one. What I really enjoy is sometimes they bring the energy from something new that we can try and do differently here. And it is the blend of the expectations from the experienced people that have been here this long expecting the young people (and if you are sitting here and not retired, you are young); but the expectations that you will carry your weight here. And I think what you have when you come here on day one – if you look around here you know that this is a company that will treat you as part of the family for as many years as you want to work here. Thank you all.”
