April 20-21, 2011, Feeco will again be attending “Green Innovations,” an annual conference put on by The Environmental Management and Business Institute (EMBI) of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

This annual conference, along with the EMBI, is focused on getting together local businesses and community leaders to “work toward the realization of a sustainable future.” Topics such as sustainability in transportation, wind energy, regional health, regional sustainability, and water management, will be discussed.

This year’s conference will also host several pertinent speakers: David Wann, author and speaker, Matthew J. Frank, the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Jeffrey Rafn, Ph.D., President of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and Douglas B. McLaughlin, Ph.D., Principle research scientist with the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement.

The award-winning documentary, “DIVE! – Living off America’s Waste,” will also be shown. The documentary’s producer will host a forum after the showing (EMBI).

FEECO’s history in waste transformation and our efforts to preserve the environment for a greater tomorrow make programs like this a valuable connection. FEECO has been involved in Green Innovations for years now, and has also been participating in the Green Masters Program, a point-based program that recognizes Wisconsin businesses making strides toward sustainability.
