Although a multitude of industrial drying technologies are on the market, rotary dryers have persevered throughout the decades as the favored choice of equipment in many settings. The following describes the many reasons in which the rotary dryer is often preferred.

Customization. Rotary dryers can be highly customized around the unique material and process requirements of the operation at hand. Items such as direct or indirect air flow configurations, linings, flight design and pattern can all be customized.

Variance in Feed stock. Rotary dryers are flexible in regards to tolerance in feed stock variation. While many systems require a uniform feed stock, with a tight window of size and/or moisture range to ensure a uniform result, rotary dryers can accept a variance in feed stock, and still produce a uniform product.

Reliability. Due to their robust build, low maintenance requirements, and high efficiency capabilities, rotary dryers can provide reliable processing for decades.

Throughput. Rotary dryers are high capacity machines, able to process anywhere from 1 TPH to 200 TPH plus. Bulk solids processing facilities typically require these high volume production settings.

FEECO has led the way in custom rotary dryer design and manufacturing since 1951. To learn more about our equipment, download the rotary dryer e-book, or contact us today!
