Have a Service Technician on Site
A service technician from the manufacturer should be present, as they are highly trained in drum installation, and can help to ensure installation goes smoothly. Service technicians can also train on-site personnel.
Plan Ahead
Appropriate equipment staging, materials, and pre-alignment should all be planned for prior to installation day. Ideally, the equipment purchaser, installing contractor, and original manufacturer will communicate well in advance of the install to delegate tasks and share the overall agenda.
Use a Laser Tracking System for Optimal Alignment
Drum bases and the shell should be properly aligned at the initial installation, as mis-alignment can cause damage to components and even premature equipment failure. New laser tracking systems are the most accurate way to measure and record alignment, compared to traditional techniques, and should always be performed during the install.
