The city of Cincinnati has been incinerating its municipal waste for years. However, recent issues with the city’s  incineration units have it weighing repair costs with alternative waste solutions. City officials have proposed a 65 million dollar plan that would take its municipal waste and process it into usable fertilizer. Cincinnati mayor John Cranley says the solution would benefit the environment and save taxpayers money.
