This week’s photo highlights a fertilizer granulation plant.
The pilot plant is equipped with granulation, drying, cooling, and coating capabilities.
A granulation drum is pictured at the top of the photo, a coating drum is at the bottom left, and a rotary dryer is pictured at the very bottom.
FEECO designed this pilot plant for a global fertilizer producer, to allow them to test products on a continuous pilot scale on their own time, and at their own facility.
The granulation plant was designed to accommodate a variety of product testing. This gives the fertilizer producer flexibility in their research and development, and also allows them to test specific parts of the process in a continuous process loop.
