This week’s photo shows a steep incline conveyor in 3D.

FEECO’s steep incline conveyors are designed to move materials vertically, at angles ranging from 18-90 degrees, while still maintaining discharge and feed qualities of a standard belt conveyor.

The advantages of FEECO’s design include:

  • Less space requirements. Steep geometric options of the conveyor reduce the length requirements to reach the anticipated elevation when compared to conventional conveyors. This eliminates unused space.
  • Reduced material degradation. Transfer points are eliminated through “L” and “S” shaped designs. This allows for smooth and continuous transportation of material.
  • Handling efficiency. Corrugated sidewalls contain the material, and reduce spillage along the conveyor path and loading points. Cleats are also located at calculated positions to capture material and eliminate fallback.

FEECO’s steep incline conveyors commonly transport the following materials:

  • Aggregates
  • Biomass products
  • Coal
  • Fertilizer products
  • Frac sand
  • Iron ore
  • Nickel
  • Pulp and paper products
  • Sulfur
