This week’s photo is a compactor from the FEECO Innovation Center. Here, a heat lamp is set directly on the compactor’s feed chute, so the metal of the cold chute would not take away the heat from the pre-heated feed material.
FEECO’s process experts are well-versed in compaction; they understand that temperature can be used to help with the compaction of materials, or in the case of today’s photo, that the pre-heated material must maintain a specific temperate to compact.
Agglomeration testing in the FEECO Innovation Center is a valuable way to tell if your material is capable of agglomeration, as well as the equipment required to achieve the product you are looking for. Through a historical material database, and the experienced hands of our process experts, we are able to test materials on single pieces of equipment, or a continuous process loop to help answer the questions you are looking for.
