Our photo this week shows several bucket elevator head assemblies in a potash processing facility.

Bucket elevators are a common choice for potash handling, with the double chain type being the most commonly used, due to the increased capacity and height capability this configuration can offer.

The head assembly, shown here, is the portion of the bucket elevator that drives motion, containing the motor, reducer, head pulley, and roller bearings.

Bucket elevators are a robust choice when looking to move materials vertically. While they are not adept at handling sludge-like materials, they are capable of handling just about anything else, and are a popular choice for demanding applications such as limestone, potash, and other minerals.

FEECO bucket elevators are custom designed to suit the unique needs of the material to be handled. For more information on our custom bucket elevators, contact us today.
