Houston, Texas hosted CRU’s annual Sulphur conference this year, and FEECO International was in attendance.

Sulphur 2011, which gathered industry experts and representatives from a variety of fields, was focused on current market trends and intelligence, technical innovations, and improvements in operations. An exhibition of products, technology, equipment, and literature revolving around the sulphur and sulphuric acid industries was also held around the conference.

“It was a very valuable experience for us here at FEECO,” noted Brett Rittenhouse, thermal process sales engineer. “It was an excellent opportunity for networking and gaining a better understanding of the sulphur and sulphuric acid markets.”

FEECO has been working with the sulphur and sulphuric acid industries for many years. Most of the world’s sulphur production goes to making sulphuric acid. Of that sulphuric acid, the majority is used in MAP, DAP, SSP, and other primary fertilizer grades. The sulphur and sulphuric acid markets are also closely related to other fertilizer markets – a core sector of FEECO. Sulphuric acid is also used in metal leaching projects, such as the leaching of copper, nickel, and uranium. FEECO supplies granulation drums for copper and uranium leaching processes.

For over 60 years, FEECO has been supplying granulation, thermal processing, and material handling equipment to the fertilizer industry. Contact us today to see how our experience in sulphur can help you.
