This week’s photo comes from an energy plant where FEECO provided the custom biomass fuel handling equipment system.
The equipment shown in the photo is a 2-way electric actuated diverter / transfer chute. This diverter directs material from the fuel hog/screen system to either the storage building tripper conveyor, or directly to the boiler silo feed conveyor. Also pictured is the tail (feed) end of the tripper conveyor.
This type of diverter is useful in many applications and can also be provided with pneumatic operation as well.
